Experience the Splendor of the National Cherry Blossom Festival This Spring

After a few years off, the National Cherry Blossom Festival is returning in 2022 with its traditional four weeks of beauty and fun! The festival has come back just in time for the 110th anniversary of the gift that started it all. It’s now been more than a hundred years since the then-mayor of Tokyo presented the city of Washington, D.C. with a collection of stunning cherry trees that explode with their signature pink blooms every spring.

The peak bloom always happens sometime during the National Cherry Blossom Festival, though you’ll have to check back on its website for the exact dates as they near! The festival itself will run until April 17th with a calendar of events along the way. You can come at any point to check out the pretty pink cherry blossoms, but make sure you don’t miss the massive National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade on Saturday, April 9th!
